Writing Assistance

The Writing Assistance Program is a free service provided to all Concordia students who want to improve their writing skills or who need assistance with written assignments in English or in French.
Writing Assistants give students the time and space to express their ideas without the pressure of being evaluated. They also work with students to help them clarify, develop and present their ideas in a written format that meets the requirements of their specific assignment. Through this process, students become more confident of their ideas and develop strategies that make them better writers.

One-on-one tutoring sessions with friendly experienced Writing Assistants.

Spring Hours at SGW in H-662:

• Writing Assistance: 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday through Thursday
• Drop-in: 4-6 p.m., on Wednesday and Thursday
  
• No Writing Assistance appointments at LOY
  
  
• Talk Times 12-1 p.m., Monday through Thursday
• Jazz-ons 3-4 p.m., Monday through Thursday
• English Conversation group 6:15-8 p.m., on Thursday, starting May 10
  

Our booking system has changed! Please follow these instructions to book an appointment with a Writing Assistant:

Login to MyConcordia Portal (new window) using your netname and password

• Under "Student Services" click on "Counselling and "Development"
• Carefully read the usage Terms and Conditions and click "Accept" if you agree
• Click on "Peer Tutor Writing Appointments"
• Then follow the instructions to book the appointment you want
