WELCOME to the Personal and Psychological Services of Counselling and Development at Concordia University.
All currently registered Undergraduate, Graduate, Independent and Continuing Education students are eligible to meet with a counsellor. Personal issues can be addressed individually in English or French. Students from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds, differing sexual orientations and physical abilities are welcome and encouraged to meet with a counsellor. Counsellors are available on both the Sir George Williams and Loyola campuses and you can call or drop-in to our offices to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.
What can personal counselling do for you?
Professional Counsellors, accredited Psychotherapists and Psychologists help Concordia students who are experiencing personal difficulties. They help you to clarify issues and find effective ways of dealing with whatever obstacles are impeding your growth and success. The following information is designed to introduce you to the Personal and Psychological Services of Counselling and Development and, hopefully, motivate you to drop in and visit us and take advantage of all our services.
A counsellor will give you the time, space and support to explore issues which are important to you. She or he will listen to you carefully, with respect, CONFIDENTIALITY and concern for your well being . In time you can expect to have an increased awareness of yourself and of the possibilities open to you.
